Aims:
• to improve training quality and efficiency;
• to upload old traditions, to spread new school work forms;
• to improve teachers and students’ work conditions.
Mission:
• to motivate students to get Basic education;
• to create conditions for preparation of studies in secondary educational establishments;
• to develop students’ personality;
• to train ability to apply knowledge in independent life.
Our school has recently been reorganized from secondary to basic school. Due to this, there is a great interchange among students and teachers. There study 528 students 138 of them are students from village localities. There are some students who learn from Russia, Spain, UK, Ireland, Germany, Turkey and also students of the Romany nationality at school. Our school distincts from other city schools providing a basic education to foreign students as our teachers have a good command of foreign languages .There are 49 students who are supported socially. Also there are 39 students with special needs. 12 of our pupils live in families that are at social risk. There are 10 orphans who live in foster home. There work 55 pedagogues .
The students from our school are the participants and the winners of town’s, district’s, republic contests and olympiads; we have also experience in cooperating with other schools and participating in the international projects: Euroscola 4 times in Strasbourg, European Charlemagne Youth prize Competition, participated in Spring Day for Europe. Our school put into practice the Comenius Projects of the year 2007-2009, 2010-2012 successfully. In 2013 the fund of education interchange support decorated our school with a special statuette for the Lifelong Learning programs projects that were realized the most qualitative in 2007-2013. In 2013, the 2nd place in Republic in the contest "My Europe-My Rights" which was organized by the Member of the European Parliament L. Andrikiene and K. Simonavicius University. In 2015, the 3rd place in Republic in the table quiz type contest "Euro League" (about the history of EU, culture, economy, geography). 2015-2016 we participate to e Twinnning project "The population of my region". Our students` achievements in sport are of high evaluation: our students become the winners in various sports competitions not only regionally but nationwide as well. 2016-2018 we participate to 2 Erasmus + projects: KA1 "Learning teachers – looking for new know-how". Erasmus+ KA2 "SCHOOLS ARE MORE FUN WITH FINE ARTS".
There are two folk dance groups, singing studio, choir, wind-instrument band at our school. Students willingly attend and enjoy after school activities such as modern, ballroom or street dances. We have a lot of experience in artistic performances and activities that is why we take part in many dancing and singing regional or national competitions. Our school organizes regional dancing and singing festival dedicated to Children`s Day.

It`s been the 11th time when our school organizes the theater festival "Mažieji obuoliukai (Little Apples)". Very often our neighbors from Poland schools come to this theatrical event.

Thus, we have experience in organizing grandiose musical events and theatre festivals and we willingly share experience with project partners.
The school’s technical base is very good: interactive boards "Smart Board", computerized classrooms, multimedia devices, learner response systems "Active Inspire" and e-diary are widely used.
